	Fortismere Fortismere School is a mixed community comprehensive school with Technology status within Haringey serving the Muswell Hill area in North London. The school comprises 1,550 pupils, aged 11-18 with 140 staff. In 2001, the school received a school achievement award for academic progress. Fortismere also acts as the host school for the secondary department of the Blanche Neville School for the Deaf. Head teachers, Karen Allaway and Andy Gower selected 9 girls and 3 boys aged 12-13 from 70 applicants based on the strength and creativity of their answers, and this group of 12 formed the client team.
