Hugh Myddelton
‘Joined up Design for Schools’ is a scheme run by The Sorrell Foundation to improve design in schools across the UK. Launched in 2001, it aims to join up UK designers with schools across the country to demonstrate how design and creativity can improve the quality of life and learning in schools.

ASHA were asked to work with the Hugh Myddelton Primary School in the East of London. The starting point for the identity was Sir Hugh Myddelton, who was responsible for bringing fresh water into the heart of London. The logotype takes its initiative from the chemical symbol for water, H20, and the address is positioned in such a way beneath the logo, that it appears like a reflection in water.
