ASHA launched in 2003 with the controversial re-brand of a church in Cornwall - St.Kea. As part of the project, a website was created. To launch the website, Marksteen wrote, composed and played this track – ‘Amazing Grace’ to be used as a backdrop. The score is different to the original based on a series of jazz cords using only a guitar for instrumentation. Marksteen, making up 6 harmonies in total to create a richer backdrop, added all the rest of the harmonies later. Marksteen also decided to add a new verse and sound structure that he felt was missing in the original. He’s hoping no one will mind.
